So.
I am seriously considering moving to another place of work.
The pressure I am starting to receive to get company credit cards is getting RIDICULOUS. My manager now wants us to start doing this worksheet before each shift setting a goal of how many we will get per shift, and then if we DON’T get the goal we have to write out WHY we didn’t. It’s like they’re trying to guilt trip us into getting Old Navy cards, or make us feel like a horrible person for NOT getting them. T_T This Sunday was my mental “last straw”. Tomorrow after my facilities shift, I am going to start looking for another job. I am going to check out some of the smaller retail stores (since ours is overwhelmingly large) and DEFINITELY the two bookstores in town! Gosh, I would LOVE to work around books! :’D I have no idea who is hiring though, so I will have to check it out. I just want to go somewhere else. I used to really like my job, but over the past few weeks things have gotten bad. Many people are leaving too. Jamie is leaving for a call center that will work her full time, which is what she needs. A BUNCH of people who worked when I first started have left…Monica, Brittney, Melissa (one of them), Jennifer (who is technically still there, but left her management position), and basically ALL the people who were in my training class with me. Even Lexi left, which shocked me. I don’t know for sure…but I definitely would like to work in a smaller store, or a bookstore. Our store is basically like a department store, so it gets REALLY busy really quick! So, I would like to work at a bit of a slower-paced place.
oh and another thing Jamie told me. I didn’t realize till we talked how absolutely shitty my pay is. At her old store in Alabama (also Old Navy), she started with making about $8.25, and left making $8.50. When she came here, they didn’t match her old salary. Instead, they dropped her a dollar down to $7.50. And Gap Inc only does raises once a year, and my store only gives a nickel raise once a year…MAYBE. She was told last year when she got her 5 cent raise that she better be HAPPY because most people didn’t get a raise at all. -_-
So, I would like to work for a place where I could make at least a LITTLE bit more. Maybe $7.75? that would be nice! xD
gosh, decisions…the only thing I’m worried about is I NEED a place that will be willing to work with my school schedule, but most places in my town will do that because of the community college and the military wives who need time off for their husbands and whatnot. So, we shall see!

This is so horrible -_- they did this to me at Toys R Us. It was awful. Now I work at Marshalls and they do push us to get credit cards but they do not kill us when we got none. I haven’t gotten any in 2 months and they don’t care.
