Ahh yes, read thar one back in high school and loved it!! That’s one of the things that I loved was how in that world, sensuality of all sorts, sexual and chemical, was promoted to properly blind the masses to the greater scheme of things…promiscuity, feelies, the ubiquitous use of SOMA, all of that used to keep the population ignorant. Makes you think about modern society’s overuse of chemicals (illegal drugs, prescriptions, tobacco, alcohol, etc), our love for overdone, extreme and/or gratuitous sexuality presented in not only porn but the mass media, our overall fascination with sex…sometimes America seems like a lighter version of the vision Huxley created. At least to me.

Interestingly enough, I recently read a comparison of 1984 vs. Brave New World, and the conclusion was that BNW is far more accurate with what is happening, even though we’re all concerned about 1984 coming true.
