  1. Talk to your coach, figure out what YOU want, and do whats best for you. Be selfish! there are ways to be involved without playing, and teams always need those positions. Heck, our head ref is just as popular as our skaters! Good luck!

  2. yep, thats exactly what I did. I still love it, and if given the chance, would probably go back. But it didnt make me happy anymore. It made me sad. And I needed to not be sad. Derby was my “alternative” to soccer, and Ive fallen in love with it too!

ahh, so it was making you sad? well in that case, you definitely did the right thing!! you don’t need to continue on in an activity that drags you down and makes you feel sadness! Not a good use of your time and energy! so that is how you got into derby!! your alternative to soccer! glad you have fallen for it too!! :3 that makes me happy to hear!:D and yes, I shall do that!!! :D I love that, be selfish!! really, that is what I need to hear right now as I am trying to make this decision!! and that is definitely true!!! as she told me just last week, there are so many roles in derby, both on and off skates, so there are many ways to be involved outside of playing! oh my gosh, that is awesome!!!! I love that!! XD That really encourages me a lot!! also seeing two female refs at the bout last weekend helped spark the idea!;D and thank you again!! :D I will keep the tumblr world updated on my decision making process!! :D
