i do too, so i understand your problem! Sometimes you have to be selfish. I quit soccer after 16 years, 3 semi pro, because it didnt make me happy anymore. Were people mad? yep. Did I care? Nope! It was the right one for me! refing is a great idea!
ain’t that the TRUTH!! you do have to be selfish and put yourself first, even if that is against your nature!!! really, it is often what is best for your health, physically, mentally, and emotionally!! oh my gosh!! so you played for 16 years, 3 of which were semi pro, and you quit?? i am proud of you!!! I bet that was difficult to do, but something that had to be done! heck, I have only been at this for a monthish now, and I’m having a hard time with it!! but, you have to make the right decisions for your life, even if it pisses some people off!! And thank you!!:D I am going to talk to my coach about it!! I am sure she will be supportive, she is a great lady! Because that way, I could be involved, without having to worry about injury and such!

Talk to your coach, figure out what YOU want, and do whats best for you. Be selfish! there are ways to be involved without playing, and teams always need those positions. Heck, our head ref is just as popular as our skaters! Good luck!
